Focus Remote

Support

Most connection problems are venue networking, not the app. Work through the checklist below before writing in — it fixes nearly all of them.

How to connect

  1. Same network. This device must be on the console’s network — not the venue guest Wi-Fi.
  2. OSC enabled on the console. On the console: Setup → System → Show Control → OSC, with {OSC RX} and {OSC TX} enabled.
  3. Third Party OSC (Eos 3.1–3.3.8). On those versions, also enable Third Party OSC under Interface Protocols (port 3037). On 3.3.9 and later the third-party ports are always enabled.
  4. No client isolation. The venue’s Wi-Fi must not isolate clients — a laptop on the same network should be able to reach the console. If the laptop can’t see it either, the network is blocking device-to-device traffic.

Diagnostics screen

The app’s Diagnostics screen shows the connection state, which framing was detected, and a packet log — it is the support artifact. Open the app, go to the Diagnostics screen, and read the checklist shown there: it is the same four points above. If you write in, include what the Diagnostics screen says (connection state and the last lines of the log).

Demo mode

No console nearby? Demo mode — the last card on the Settings tab — runs a simulated console inside the app, so every screen works: keypad, command-line echo, cue status, direct selects, diagnostics. Nothing leaves the device in Demo mode.

Subscriptions

How to cancel

On your iPhone or iPad: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Focus Remote Pro → Cancel. The subscription stays active until the end of the paid year.

How to restore a purchase

In the app: Settings → Restore purchases. The app reads your subscription state from StoreKit on the device — no account, no sign-in, no internet needed beyond Apple’s own check.

Refunds

Refunds are processed by Apple, not by us: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund there.
